So I heard from these two earlier today, got me eyes a lil teary, just a lil bit ok. It's always nice to catch up with people you're comfortable with, people who believe in you, people who accept you for who you are, people who love you. I'm immensely grateful, that I'm still considerably close to a handful of friends from school though we don't talk everyday. But it's nice to know that they are the ones you can seemingly count on, when you need them around. Recently, I've been catching up with several friends from high school, ranging from those two above, jacob, ahlap, shafie, daphne, xuan, cedric, seol, petz, ah heng, dav, sar, occassionally rav, sher & derp.. it's all good. sometimes it feels hard to reconcile the past & present idea of me, lulz, but grateful for all that i have regardless.

meanwhile, spent a great day with shannon & caleb despite the mini headache afterwards. 

looking forward to more of life :)

Today marks the last day of my exams, as well as the end of Sem 1. Went for dinner with Amy and Jess after hangouts, before heading to CHC for Ps Kong Hee's service. Thanks Jeff for your invite, and it was great to see Graeme too :) *I went to the bookstore after service, and voila!, after searching 'high & low' in a way, I finally found Crazy Love by Francis Chan. I can't wait to read it! The bookstore experience was interesting tho cuz I asked the bookstore-keeper, and they couldn't find it tho they seemed like they were searching the area where the book actually lies. I called Fiona and just fiddled around with my other free hand, then i found it -.- But YAY! < 3 I've heard quite some reviews about it, and also got to know that bubz reads it too :) can't wait! :))

Learnt about mental strength today, how we endure trials by enlarging our mental capacity.

had an amazing time @ KingdomCity today. Worship was so refreshing, tears lil :) thank You God for Your holy presence. I love KC! Felt like home :) Esp spending it with people i Love, & that sense of familiarity, so comfortable, so secure. Thank you girlies! <3

Do you need strength today? Sometimes it’s easy to get down and discouraged when you’re constantly looking at the circumstances of life. You may feel tired and weary from a long spiritual or emotional battle. But when you wait on the Lord, the Bible says your strength will be renewed.

Waiting on the Lord means you’re putting your trust and hope in Him. You’re living with an attitude of faith and expectancy. In the natural, if you are waiting for someone like a special dinner guest, you probably aren’t just sitting around the house wondering what will happen. No, you’re probably preparing for that special person, straightening the house and making sure everything is perfect for their arrival. Most likely, you started weeks in advance making the menu and deciding what to wear! In the same way, when you are waiting on the Lord, it doesn’t mean you are just sitting around. It means you are preparing for Him.

Are you ready for God to move on your behalf? Are you waiting on Him? As you take a step of faith, He’ll meet you there. He’ll renew your strength and lead you into victory in every area of your life!

Prayer for Today:
Father, thank You for Your promise to renew my strength. I choose to wait on You. I choose to trust You. I choose to prepare for You to move mightily in my life in Jesus’ name! Amen.

is it half-empty or half-full?

what happens when some things don't go our way? | what happens when we are desperate for a change in our situation? | do other people change? | do i change? | what happens when people don't change, which then forces me to be the change? |

Sure, maybe sometimes I've changed, but the situation would still feel the same. why what how then...?

True change really comes, with the change of perspective.
That subtle change that no one can really see but yourself. 
That change that no one can instill, but only you yourself.
And it's really up to yourself to keep holding on to it to gain strength,
Or be influenced by the worldly opinions that you just choose to desert that invisible change of perspective you feel does justice in settling your heart down.

|That mere deviation can set you free.|

And so many "How-to-" articles out there, their purpose of existence isn't really just to teach you life hacks, but using those experiences, serving to hopefully trigger your change of perspective.

Cuz honestly, once you've set your mind to something, nothing can really defeat you anymore..
